Bitpanda is expanding its available asset classes by adding their first stablecoin Tether (USDT)

Update (March 28th 2019): Just one week ago we added Tether (USDT) as the first stablecoin to the Bitpanda platform. Now we can already happily announce the addition of the second entry in this new asset class. USD Coin (USDC) is now available on the Bitpanda platform. You can deposit, send, trade and swap USDC from today.

You can now deposit, send, trade and swap Tether (USDT) using the ERC20 technology (with the Omni Layer technology planned to come) on the Bitpanda platform. The addition of a stablecoin is a first step for us as we expand our offerings beyond cryptocurrencies.

Bitpanda’s vision is to provide easy-to-use and convenient access to an array of digital assets, and it is currently expanding its trading platform to other asset classes beyond cryptocurrencies. As a first step, Bitpanda is now offering its first stablecoin as a new asset class. Tether (USDT) is the most popular stablecoin in terms of volume and Bitpanda users now have the option to trade, swap, send and receive it.

While we are continuously adding new and features to the Bitpanda platform, our overall goal is to offer more digital beyond cryptocurrencies.

Unlike cryptocurrencies, whose prices freely fluctuate, a stablecoin such as Tether (USDT) tries to hold its value around a specific asset. In this case, the value of 1 USDT is supposed to stay at around 1 US-Dollar.

If you are unfamiliar with stablecoins, visit the Bitpanda Magazine to find out more about this new asset class.

Also available in the Bitpanda App for Android

Bitpanda is also available as an app for Android devices. You are also able to deposit, send, trade and swap Tether (USDT) while you are on the go.

Deposit, send, trade and swap Tether (USDT) now.
